

Mrs. Chrysler of Charlotte, born July 17th, 1930, died November 3rd, 2012 at her home, surrounded by family after a long and courageous battle with multiple myeloma. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Mrs. Chrysler was born in Cleveland, Ohio, the only child of the late Eleanor Marie Feth Shafer and Albert W. Feth. Mrs. Chrysler graduated Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She married Charles in 1953 and lived in Ohio and Florida with her husband before making Charlotte their home in 1960. She enjoyed traveling the world with her husband, reading, and being with her family and canine companion, Missy. Always having a heart for children, she served as an advocate with the Mecklenburg County Guardian ad Litem Program for years in addition to her many years of service as a volunteer at Presbyterian Hospital. She had also been active in the Mecklenburg Medical Auxiliary, Charlotte Debutante Club, Mint Museum of Art and was a member of Myers Park Country Club.
Anne Chrysler is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Charles; a son, Michael Chrysler and his wife, Helen of Charlotte; a daughter, Melanie Slade and her husband, Barry of Knoxville, TN; and two grandchildren, Teresa Slade and Melissa Slade of Knoxville, TN. She is also survived by sister-in-law, Carolyn Albert and her husband Robert of Girard, OH and cousins, Barbara Caplan and Beverly Dunlap of Jacksonville, FL. Anne was preceded in death by son, Eric Brian Chrysler.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to Anne's special long-time friend, Marilyn Harrison, Dr. James F. Boyd, the staff of Presbyterian Matthews Outpatient Care, and Presbyterian Hospice and Palliative Care.
A memorial celebration of Mrs. Chrysler’s life will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 7th in the chapel of Harry & Bryant Company, 500 Providence Road; Charlotte, NC 28207 with the Reverend Erik S. Johnson officiating. Her family will receive friends following the memorial celebration. Graveside services will be private.
