Anne Elizabeth R. Hung entered peacefully into the presence of her Saviour on October 21, 2023. She was born in Taiwan, the Republic of China, on April 2, 1951. She and her sister and brother moved to the United States when they were young.
After graduating from Garinger High School in 1969, Anne studied at UNCC where she earned a BA degree in French.
Anne came to trust in Christ as her Saviour at an early age, and for 57 years was a devoted member of the Bible Presbyterian Church of Charlotte. Her signature appears on the charter membership roll from 1966.
She and husband Mark were married on October 25, 1975, and actively served Christ together. Mark served as a deacon of the Bible Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, and has been active as an elder since 1989.
For many decades, Anne served as church pianist. With her solid classical training, she was accomplished in accompanying the congregation, choir and soloists, and in playing special arrangements for piano and organ, and for solo piano. All those in attendance each week were greatly blessed by the talents she so freely offered to the Lord. This is a legacy she passed on to her daughter and granddaughters.
Anne was a homemaker, lovingly keeping their home in good order, and working with her husband Mark in managing their rental properties and other business endeavors.
Having a kind and generous heart, Anne was always ready to help friends and family with their various needs, and to be a comfort and encouragement.
Anne is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Mark; daughters Esther-Elaine (David) Scott and Emily Hung; granddaughters Eden Lily Scott and Evangeline Love Scott; mother Wen-Huei Juang; sister Marie Rimer; brother David Rimer and family; and many loving in-laws, nieces and nephews, and life-long friends.
