Anthony "Tony" Wallace Jones

On the evening of March 4, 2016, after a long series of illnesses patiently endured, Tony passed away at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. He was 51 years old.

Tony Jones was born in Charlotte on August 25, 1964.. He was the second of two sons born to Patricia Dover Jones and Dennis Wayne Jones.

Though Tony was disabled in recent years, earlier in his life he worked in construction and trucking, and was an excellent cook and all-around handyman. He was always glad to help others with house and car repairs, and nobody ever left his home hungry. He was never happier than when camping or playing with one of his dogs.

Tony's wife Robin often said that he never met a stranger, and the love people had for him is shown by the many who came to visit him at the end. When a man's ex-wife and ex-girlfriend join his family to say their goodbyes, you know he was something special.

Tony was preceded in death by his big brother Timmy and his father Dennis.

Tony is survived by his wife Robin, daughters Whitney and Brandi Jones, and mother Patricia Jones. He also leaves beloved stepchildren, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of the MICU at Carolinas Medical Center for their compassion and care.
