

Born December 27, 1931, she was a native of Cuba and came to the United States in 1962. She married Jacobo E. Acosta at the age of 19 and was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.
Mrs. Acosta is survived by two sons, Ezequiel Luis Acosta and Jacobo Ezequiel Acosta, and their wives respectively, Ana Azcuy Acosta and Jennifer Boring; her grandchildren by Ezequiel: Lauren Acosta Huckleberry and Eric Acosta; and her grandchildren by Jacobo: Kaylin Acosta, Gabriella Acosta and Jacobo Ezequiel Acosta III; as well as her great-grandsons from Lauren and her husband Tony: Diego Huckleberry and Dezi Huckleberry.
Also surviving are three siblings, Mercedes Williams, Daniel Williams and his wife Ana, and Calixta Lopez and her husband Ricardo; along with their children and grandchildren.
Her husband preceded her in death in 1989.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 23rd at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 6828 Old Reid Road. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Acosta’s family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 22nd at Harry & Bryant, 500 Providence Road with a Prayer Service beginning at 6:00 p.m.
