

Mr. Arthur Paris Lowder, Jr., 81, of Locust, North Carolina, entered into rest on Friday, May 27, 2016 at Harris Hospice at Novant Presbyterian Medical Center. A native of Mecklenburg County, he was the son of the late Arthur Paris Lowder, Sr. and Ruth Creighton Lowder. He was a member of Ebenezer Presbyterian Church in Charlotte. A veteran of the United States Army, he served in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He retired from Airco Welding Supply in 1993 as a truck driver. He drove over two million safe driving miles.
Mr. Lowder is survived by his beloved wife, Geraldine Moser Lowder; by his sons, Wayne Davis and Darrell Davis; by his daughters, Lynnette Knight and Tammy Naylor; by his sisters, Betty Frances Roberts and Eleanor Baker. He is survived by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 from 10:00 until 11:00 AM. A service celebrating the life of Mr. Lowder will be held at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of McEwen Funeral Service with the Rev. Earl Bradshaw officiating. Interment will follow at Sharon Memorial Park.
