Mr. Arthur W. Quattlander Jr., age 96, of Charlotte, NC passed away January 4, 2023. He was born April 18, 1926 in Buffalo, NY, a son of the late Arthur W. Quattlander Sr. and Ethel Quattlander. He is preceded in death by his wife, Anna M. Poulsen Quattlander and sister, Jean M. Feuerstein.
Arthur served his country during WWII in the U.S. Navy as RdM 3/c. He was employed at National Gypsum Co. of Charlotte, NC and retired after 40 yrs (1948-1988). He was a member of Starmount ARP Church, in Charlotte, NC and a member of Erie Parish United Lodge #161 F.&A.M. and Ismailia Shriners of Buffalo, NY.
Surviving are his children, Arthur W. Quattlander III of Greece, NY and Linda Sherwood (Gary) of Hamlin, NY.
A memorial service to honor and celebrate his life will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 17, 2023 in the McEwen Funeral Service-Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, NC. Interment at Forest Hill Church/Ebenezer Cemetery was private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Forest Hill/Ebenezer Cemetery Fund, 7224 Park Road, Charlotte, NC 28210.
