Audrey G. Jackson

Audrey Godfrey Jackson, 96, of Mooresville formerly of Charlotte, passed away March 8, 2023 in Huntersville. Born March 30, 1926 in Charlotte, NC, she was the daughter of the late P.C. and Dovie (Sloan) Godfrey. She was the wife of the late Paul Jackson. Loving wife, mother and grandmother, Audrey was a graduate of Harding High School and charter member of Durham Memorial Baptist Church. She enjoyed shopping at Belk’s, baking, traveling, reading, and puzzles. Most of all, Audrey enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Vickie (Richard) Robertson and Andrew (Beth) Jackson; grandchildren, Summer (Hunter) Boone, Tallon Wisdom, Drew (Sam) Jackson, Rachel Jackson and Taylor (Amy) Robertson; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Melva Green, Armin Hendrix and Joanne Belton; brother, Myers Godfrey; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Audrey was preceded in death by her daughter, Robin Jackson Bourne; siblings, Joyce Blue, Ronald Godfrey and Norris Godfrey.
