Barbara Sue Ledbetter

Mrs. Ledbetter, 80, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at her residence. Born in Belmont, NC on July 28, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Claude R. Fite and Ruth Stowe Fite. Barbara was a graduate of North Mecklenburg High School. She was the owner/operator of Cubbyhole Groceries in Derita for many years and was a founding member of Northdale Baptist Church.

Her husband, Boyce C. Ledbetter preceded her in death on May 28, 1995. Survivors include her children, Claude Ledbetter (Pam), Nancy Burrell (Guy), Teresa Ledbetter and Joanne Tyo (Archie); eleven grandchildren, Melissa Tyo, Jill Tyo, Nicole Swanson, Megan Ford, Amy Hunt, Eric Burrell, Scott Ledbetter, Katie McCroskey, Amber Jennings, Kelsey Tyo and Grayson Tyo; and twelve great grandchildren, Leilani, Lucas and Liam Swanson, Autumn and Natalie Ford, Katie Hunt, Alexis and Brianna Burrell, Chase and Shane McCroskey, Wyatt and Jacob Jennings.

Services are planned for 3:00 pm Sunday, May7th at McEwen Derita Chapel, 6300 Mallard Creek Rd., Charlotte, NC 28262, where friends may visit from 2:00 to 3:00 pm. Burial will take place in Sharon Memorial Park.
