Barbara Seagraves Mackey, 77, of Iron Station, formerly of Charlotte, NC, passed away March 19, 2023. Born May 12, 1945 in Charlotte, NC, she was the daughter of James and Mandy (Gulley) Seagraves. She married John “Ted” Mackey on September 7, 1968.
A graduate of Harding High School, Barbara retired from Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools and attended Gloryland Baptist Church, Charlotte.
She loved cheering on her grandchildren for all of their sporting events such as football, baseball, cheerleading, rodeo and fishing. She also loved spending time with family and enjoying the Western way of life.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Ted Mackey; children, Jeff (Suzanne) Mackey and Angie (Anthony) Hutto; grandchildren, Jada, Cabe and Jena Mackey, Cole and Maeslee Hutto; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings.
Funeral Service 1:00 PM Friday, March 24, 2023 at Forest Lawn West Funeral & Cremation Service, 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC. Visitation 12:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home.
