Barb was raised outside of Philadelphia, PA and went to Nashaminy High School. She graduated with an accounting degree from Syracuse University while raising her two children, Rebecca Chappell and Matthew Rossi with her husband at the time, the late Honorable Robert J. Rossi. She moved from Syracuse to North Carolina in 1996 and contracted as a software engineer for US Air, Duke Energy, and Bank of America.
She is survived by her two children, and grandchildren Olivia, JD, Avery, and Barrett, as well as her beloved adopted pit bull mix, Bodhi. In retirement, she loved spending time with her family, friend Joseph Giannina, and watching football.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 11th from 5:30-7:30 pm at Trio’s Restaurant, 10709 McMullen Creek Parkway, Charlotte, NC 28226.
