Born in Hillsborough County, Florida on January 17, 1945 to Alfred Fred Williams and Ruby Tryphenia Deese Williams, Barbara was raised in Charlotte and spent much time in Union County with cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents. She was an avid gardener, reader and spent countless hours completing jigsaw puzzles.
Barbara vacationed in Boone each year for the past forty years. She was an active member of Idlewild Road Baptist Church.
Left to mourn her loss are her devoted children John McGraw, Jr, Lisa R. Gassew and Scott Seabrook; precious grandchildren Ronnie Plyler, Crystal Little, Michael Gassew and adored great granddaughters Grace and Emma Little.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents Alfred Fred Williams and Ruby Deese Siket and sister Linda Collins.
The family will greet friends starting at 10am at McEwen Funeral Service located at 5716 Monroe Road in Charlotte on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. Funeral service will begin at 11:30 am in the McEwen Chapel with burial immediately following at Sharon Memorial Park.
