Barbara Sloan Wagner

Barbara was born on August 12, 1934, in Charlotte, NC, to George W. and Virginia Cook Sloan.

She graduated from UNC -Greensboro with a Masters in teaching. She was an elementary school teacher for the majority of her vocational life. She traveled Europe in her younger days and loved to snow ski. Her exuberant, funny personality was a joy to all who were blessed to know her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Wagner. Although Barbara did not have children, she was deeply adored by all her nieces and nephews. She was a wonderful sister to her brother, George, and sister, Jeanne.

The family would like to thank the kind and caring staff and her special friends at Sunrise. They made her last two years very joyful!

Her family will receive friends at 1pm on Monday, November 3rd at Sardis Presbyterian Church, 6100 Sardis Road, Charlotte, NC, followed by her funeral service at 2:00pm.
