Barbara Wertz

Barbara completed a Bachelor's degree in horticulture through coursework at The Ohio State University and at Cleveland State University. She then went on to excel in her career in the advertising industry as a media consultant and business owner.

In her leisure time, Barbara found joy in gardening, walking her dog, designing jewelry, and creating beautiful paintings. She will be remembered for her vibrant spirit and her pursuit of excellent chocolate.

Barbara is survived by her sister, Elizabeth Wertz, nieces Melinda [Peter] Forthofer Carney and Lissa [Joseph] Jollick, great-niece Kaitlyn Carney, and close friend of nearly 50 years Barbara [Jimmy] Williams. She was preceded in death by her father Curtis, mother Mildred, brother Curtis Jr., and sister Cynthia.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the League of Women Voters of Charlotte Mecklenburg in Barbara's memory.

The funeral arrangements are entrusted to McEwen Funeral Service in Charlotte, North Carolina.
