You are an eternal light in our hearts.. We light an eternal candle in your honor.

Today is the day it all began.  My mother, my father, young and in love and here we are, missing him and taking care of our wonderful mother.  A man that impacted my life like no other, a man that led our family down the path of righteousness and faith, a man that never let any of us down.  The light has gone from my mother's eyes, as her life partner has left her side.  But I cherish her presence and hold on to them and our family through her.  A man of God, a wonderful father, a fabulous husband and provider.  He will be missed, but heaven is richer for his presence there and we will all be joined again one day.  

I love you and miss you, Daddy.

Happy Anniversary... you almost made it to 71 years.

You were a great father-in-law who always found ways to spark up a conversation about this or that. I will miss our talks about  your fantastic garden with those spectacular tomatoes you always seemed to harvest at their peek.  But more importantly, I will miss the man I grew to know as a gentle, kind soul who never had a harsh word to say about anyone. May you rest in peace.

Dear Ben, Remember...
January 10, 1942
A cold sheet of rain and icy, dangerous roads in a borrowed car.  But a young couple in love paid no attention.  Their thoughts were to get to York, South Carolina and wake up the Justice of the Peace and his wife and GET MARRIED and enjoy the short five day furlough we had.  The rest is history; plus love; fun; good times; bad times; but most of all LOVE.

I know you are in a good place and I hope to see you soon.

Happy 71st Anniversary

My father was a man of God.  He told me on countless occasions that the most important thing in your life was your relationship with God.  He was my mentor, my friend, my dad, my inspiration, my comforter, my helper of last resort, and my role model.  Now he is with Jesus Christ and I will see him again one day. He lives forever.  Praise the LORD.
