Bera Clark Cromer Jr.

Bera Clark Cromer, Jr., 98, went to be with The Lord forever on Tuesday, December 13, 2016. He was born to the late Bera Clark Cromer, Sr. and Annie Clarke Cromer on July 4, 1918.Bera served in the Army/Air Corps during WWII stationed in England. Once back in the United States, he attended flight training school. Bera was a native of Anderson, SC spending his life working for newspaper publications in both North and South Carolina. He retired from the Charlotte Observer in the late 1970's and began a career as a Real Estate Broker. Bera enjoyed the outdoors, especially walking in the woods on his farm in York County. He also loved to spend time in his garden and yard. Bera spent his life serving his Lord through the church as a Deacon and Sunday school teacher, and mentored his Christian faith to his family and all that knew him.Bera was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters Lottie, Nevitt, Paul, Ramah, Caroline, and Annie. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Jackie Cromer; children Cathy (David) Strassner of Houston, TX, David (Denise) Cromer of Lancaster, VA, Jeff Cromer of Grassy Creek, NC; grandchildren Amanda, Alan, Asher, Ann, Aaron, Andrew, Adam, Ashley, Clark, and Katie; great grandchildren Owen, Caleb, George, Charlotte, Asher Jr., Thaddeus, Winnie, and Rae.Service will take place at Providence Baptist Church, 4921 Randolph Rd, Charlotte on Thursday, December 15, 2016 beginning at 2:00pm with a reception to follow.
