He was born on November 3, 1935 to the union of late Bert Cooper, Sr. and the late Annie Louise Hull Cooper. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Beatrice Lewallen Cooper and they were married 64 years. He was also preceded in death by his son Bert Cooper III; great-grandson, Alvin Rudisill, Jr; his sisters, Loretta Elliott, Tab Clinton, Delores Bright, Helen Brown, Jeanette Hammond and one brother, Charles Ray Cooper.
He was a member of Mission City Church. He loved his church family and was proud to have been custodian until his death. He was owner of Bert’s Janitorial and Lawn Service. He loved being outside cutting grass and trimming bushes. He worked every Friday night as janitor at PC Grodfrey. He also loved doing plumbing work with his buddy Ronnie Shell. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting. One of his favorite pastimes was sitting on the porch in the rocker with a glass of iced tea and waving at everyone who rode by.
He was a loving and caring Daddy and an amazing and wonderful Paw-Paw.
He is survived by his daughters, Debra (Harvey) Taylor, Tina (Mark) Ammons, Tammy (Ron) Kerr, Beth (Frank) Nicoletti; his grandchildren, Bryant and Gail, Daniel and Shannon, Johnny and Melissa, Kristina and Ryan, Kyle and Amelia, Heather, Heidi and Alvin, Kayla, Joseph and Rachel, Breanna, Martha and Chris and Peter; and twenty-eight great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on January 30, 2021 at Forest Lawn West Cemetery. Rev. Kyle Dillard and Rev. Mike Wolff will be officiating.
