Bert Jefferson Davis

Charlotte-Mr. Bert Jefferson Davis, 69, died Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Vanderbuilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Born in New Bern, NC on April 9, 1942, he was a son of the late Zeb Jefferson Davis and Ruby Hudson Davis. Mr. Davis was a retired computer consultant and was a member of Northside Baptist Church. Mr. Davis was a licensed pilot and enjoyed flying, golfing and boating. He was a United States Air Force Veteran.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 2:00PM, Monday, June 6th in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens with Rev. Barry Shearer of Northside Baptist Church officiating. The family will receive friends at McEwen Funeral Service-Derita Chapel from Noon to 1:30PM prior to the graveside service.

Mr. Davis is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jackie Davis; a sister, Carol Deal and husband Willis, of Huntersville and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ruby “Beth” Davis.
