Bessie Duckett Belk, age 82 of Charlotte, beloved wife of LA Belk, passed away November 17, 2015. Born in Waxhaw, NC on April 9, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Myrtle (Bigham) Duckett.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, November 24th, 11AM in the Paul Helton Chapel of Forest Lawn West Funeral Home, Charlotte, NC with interment to follow in Forest Lawn West Cemetery.
Beside her husband L A, she is survived by her daughter Elizabeth “Libby” Belk Burroughs, grandson Travis Wayne Burroughs, granddaughter Shae Gruger, great granddaughter Breyenna DeHaan and great grandson Adam Gruger. She was predeceased by a son Lemuel Albert Belk.
