Formally of Charlotte, Bessie was born on January 13, 1929 to Claude Lee Miles and Emma Gaddy Miles in Pageland SC. She loved being involved in her church activities. Bessie was a member of the Eastern Star. She loved her family deeply.
Left to mourn her loss are her four devoted sons Leonard Wayne Currie (Ann), Tony Miles Currie (Tina), Mike Currie (Delecia) and Jeffrey Currie; precious grandchildren Darby, Amber, Chandlee, Chad, Chase, Daniel, Nathan and Jera and five adored great grandchildren.
Bessie is preceded in death by her husband Miles Whitfield Currie.
Graveside service will be held at 3pm on Monday, June 10, 2024 at Sharon Memorial Park located at 5716 Monroe Road in Charlotte.
