Betsy Mundy Bailey

Betsy Mundy Bailey, 85, of Charlotte, died Monday, August 1, 2011 at Charlotte Health Care. Born in Lincoln County, NC on April 14, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Kemp Mundy and Nancylea Goodson Mundy. Mrs. Bailey was a devoted member of Amazing Grace Baptist Church. She loved her church and family and was one to always say “I just love everybody.”

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, T. C. Bailey and three sisters.

She is survived by son, Kemp Bailey; daughters, Pam Livingston (Barry), all of North Myrtle Beach, Penny Quick (David), and Candy Howell (Steve) all of Charlotte; 6 grandchildren, Amy Hall, John Quick, Ashley Livingston, Nick Howell (Wendy), Kemp Livingston, Austin Bailey (Diana); 6 great grandchildren, Chasity, MacKenzie, Noah, Nina, Adam, Brooklyn and many nieces and nephews.

The family expresses their heartfelt thanks to her caregiver, Phyllis Baxter, for her love and care of their mother. Words cannot express their gratitude.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, August 4th at Forest Lawn West Chapel with Reverend Joe Amick officiating. Interment will follow the service at Forest Lawn West Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Amazing Grace Baptist Church, Building Fund, 7280 Sifford Rd., Stanley, NC 28164.
