Bettie Jean Chitwood Brady

Bettie Brady, 69, of Waxhaw, NC died at her residence on Monday, June 7, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all that knew her.

Bettie was born on October 1, 1940 in Ellington, MO to Huda and Amy Madden Chitwood. Bettie’s close family was the pride and joy of her life and for that she will be most remembered.

Survivors include her husband; John Brady Sr. of Waxhaw, NC; 2 sons, John Brady Jr. and his wife Allison of Waxhaw, NC; Marc Brady and his wife Kim of Raleigh, NC; a daughter, Terri Brady of Nashville, TN; 3 grandchildren; Hannah, Michael and Joshua Brady; 7 surviving brothers and sisters.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at Weddington United Methodist Church, 13901 Providence Rd., Weddington, NC 28104 with Rev. Dr. Terry Moore officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at McEwen Funeral Service Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Rd., Charlotte, NC 28210.
