Betty Gibbons

She is survived by her son David Gibbons (Robin) of Weddington, NC; two granddaughters, Melissa Gibbons and Mackenzie Tuzzolo (David); and three great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

Betty loved her church and was a member of Hickory Grove United Methodist Church for over 60 years. She worked most of her career as a bookkeeper for Charlotte Aircraft.

The family wants to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Brookdale Carriage Club Memory Care and the Hospice Charlotte Region staff for all their assistance and loving care in helping Betty the last several years. They were a God-send for our family during these difficult times.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Hickory Grove United Methodist Church, 6401 Hickory Grove Road, Charlotte, NC 28215 on Monday, September 26, 2022. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am in Parlor B in the Francis Asbury Building and the Inurnment Service will follow at the church Columbarium at 10:30 AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hickory Grove United Methodist Church or Hospice and Palliative Care, Charlotte Region.
