Betty Buell Hendricks, 103, of 405 Pine View Road, Clinton, NC, died Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro, NC.

Born in 1918 in Jellico, TN, Betty was the daughter of the late James Ray and Florence Kates Buell. She was raised in the Detroit, MI area and, early in her career, she worked for Ford Motor Company. Betty came to NC where she met and married Harold T. Hendricks and they raised their sons in Charlotte, NC. She was a long time employee of Delta Capital Funding, Inc. and then worked for Southern Elevator Company before retiring at the age of 78.

Betty was a faithful member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed traveling even in her later years to various European countries and throughout the Western US, including many national parks.

She is survived by her sons, David McNeal Hendricks and husband, Robert Remien, of Bovina, NY and NYC, and Harold Thomas Hendricks and his wife, Denise, of Clinton, NC. Betty had many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Talmadge Hendricks, and her brother, James Franklin Buell.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Monday, November 22, 2021 at Forest Lawn West Funeral Home & Cemetery, 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC. A celebration of life service will be a 2 p.m. followed by a graveside service. Officiating will be Pastor Bob Redmond.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rescue Mission of Roanoke, 402 4th Street SE, Roanoke, VA 24013.
