Betty Joanne Jordan, 76, of Charlotte, passed away Monday, June 22, 2015 at Peak Resources, Charlotte. She was born in Cabarrus County on May 14, 1939 to the late Dorcas Elizabeth Love and John Oscar Mann.
Joanne graduated from Central High School in Charlotte. She went on to work as a waitress for many years in Charlotte as well as Murrells Inlet, SC.
Survivors left to cherish her memory include her daughter Melinda Becky; son Herbert Jordan; sister Jeanette Barrier; brother William Yandle; four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her children James and Larry Jordan.
A visitation including reception to honor Joanne will be held at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte on Saturday, June 27 from 12:30 to 3:00.
