Betty H. McCall

Betty H. McCall, 77, passed away Monday, November 14, 2016 into her heavenly home. She was a loving wife and mother whose childlike humor and playful nature made all adore her and was much beloved by her family. Betty supported the family business serving as the secretary for Evans McCall and Co. Inc. She was a member of AARP and the Moose Lodge in Shallotte, NC

and in her spare time she and her husband brought Karaoke music and song to area retirement centers.

Born in Concord, NC on May 21, 1939, Betty was a daughter of the late William Randolph Hartsell and Mamie Etta Mosley Hartsell. Surviving is her husband of 62 years, Evans McCall; her children, Angela Diane Owen and husband, Ted of Brevard, NC, Debbie Roseman and husband, Joseph of Charlotte, Ricky Wayne McCall and wife, Ronda of Charlotte and Teresa Darlene Atkinson and husband, David of Charlotte; a brother, Jerry Hartsell and wife, Doreen of Mooresville, NC and sister-in-law, Maxine Hartsell of N. Myrtle Beach; 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Preceding her in death was a son, Evans McCall Jr.; and siblings, R.D. Hartsell, Gene Hartsell, Junior Hartsell, Bill Hartsell, Kathleen McGraw, Doris Petrea, Ronnie Hartsell, Phyllis Bryant and Danny Hartsell.

Services are planned for 2:00 pm Saturday, November 19, 2016 at McEwen Derita Chapel, 6300 Mallard Creek Rd., Charlotte, NC 28262. Friends may visit Friday evening from 7 to 9 pm at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Rd., Charlotte, NC.
