Bill W. Biggers was called from this life on January 24, 2015. Bill was born December 14, 1926, in Mecklenburg County to the late Dewey and Connie Biggers. Bill was a brick mason by trade and a longtime member of Bethel Baptist Church, where he served as a Sunday school teacher.
In addition to his parents Bill was preceded in death by his brother Gene Biggers and wife Aileen as well as brother Sterling Biggers. Bill is survived by his wife of 67 years Evelyn B. Biggers, sons; Michael Biggers and wife Denise of Indian Trail, NC, Joe Biggers and wife Elaine of York, SC, grandchildren; Brian, Brandon and wife Ashlee, and Sarah and great-grandchildren Piper and Bain. Two sisters; Gladys Weddle of Charlotte and Carolyn Baucom of York, SC. and a sister in law Frances Biggers of Charlotte
The family will hold services on Friday January 30, 2015 to celebrate the life they shared with Bill at the Paul Helton Chapel, Forest Lawn West at 1:00 in the afternoon and will receive friends one hour prior to the service, burial will follow at Forest Lawn West Cemetery.
