

Billy Wayne Bradley, 84, of Indian Land, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2025, at Atrium Health Pineville. Born on November 2, 1940, in a log cabin in Ditch No. 9, Milligan Ridge, Arkansas, he was the son of Ira Newton Bradley and Anna Mae (Spence) Bradley.
Bill’s journey began with humble roots, and he carried that resilience throughout his life. He graduated from Humes High School in Memphis, Tennessee, and at the age of 17, proudly entered the U.S. Army, where he served for three years. He married his highschool sweetheart, Blanche (Fletcher) Bradley while in the army. Blanche passed on at the young age of 38, leaving Bill with his two sons.
Known for his natural selling ability and enormous generosity, Bill touched countless lives with his warmth and unwavering faith. A devoted servant of Jesus and His church, he lived with the assurance of his salvation, a cornerstone of his legacy.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Gwen Bradley; his sister Betty Joyce Bramlett, his children, Charles (Brad) Bradley and Brent Bradley; four cherished grandchildren; and a slew of great-grandchildren who brought him immense joy.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held on Monday, April 14 at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC 28212. Visitation with the family will begin at 1:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. Bill’s life was a testament to love, faith, and service, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
