Bobby was born on July 12, 1937 in Charlotte to the late Frank and Pauline Grubb.
Bobby was a graduate of West Mecklenburg High School in Charlotte and received his degree in business from Pfeiffer College. He had a successful career in life insurance sales. He was also a Mason, a Shriner, and a member of the Drum and Bugle Corps, and he served proudly in those organizations for over 25 years.
Bobby had a passion for serving and helping others. He was a dedicated Sunday School teacher for many years and volunteered his time and knowledge with handyman projects for those in need through the Men of Acts Ministry. In his spare time, he loved to golf, travel, and spend time with his family.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 67 years, Patricia Grubb; daughters, Leslie Smith (Dale) of Concord, Terri Farmer of Charlotte, and Kelley Grubbs (Jay) of Concord; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Friends are cordially invited to a catered visitation with the family from 12:00pm until 1:00pm on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at Forest Lawn West Funeral Home, 4601 Freedom Drive in Charlotte.
The funeral service is to be conducted at 1:00pm, immediately following the visitation, in the Paul Helton Chapel at the funeral home, where Pastor Donnie Floyd is to officiate.
The burial will follow at Forest Lawn West Cemetery.
