Bobby Loyd Seagraves

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oza and Kathleen Seagraves, his sister Carol Seagraves, and his wonderful wife, Gloria Seagraves. He is survived by his sister, Rickie Stinson (Freddie), children, Warren Seagraves, Glenn Seagraves, and Allison Kocher (Ray), and his grandchildren, Brooke Rhodes, Brandon Seagraves, Paxton Seagraves, Lindsey Seagraves, Sarah Seagraves, Addison Seagraves and Beau Mitchell along with two nephews, David Stinson and Greg Stinson and great nieces Taylor and Devin Stinson.

Bobby, also known as ‘Paw Paw’ was born in Hull, GA and moved to Charlotte with his family at age 5. He graduated from Garinger High School. Bobby is a Marine, serving time in Cuba during the Cuban Revolution. He married Gloria in 1958 and they had 3 children and 7 grandchildren.

Bobby was the favorite brother of his beloved sisters, Carol, and Rickie. He retired from the US Postal Service and then worked another 10 years for Presbyterian Hospital. He loved to fish, read, the outdoors, recreational shooting, and making memories for his wife and children, and loving his grandchildren. Bobby was the best of the best, He was a ‘man’s man’, yet the sweetest man ever and was always thinking and doing for others.

The family wishes to thank Hospice & Community Care in Rock Hill, especially Daniel, Becky, Russell, Leanne, Lester and Gabrielle along with the rest of the support staff for their amazing care. From his family, thank you for the love, support, prayer, cries and laughs from everyone and for loving him as much as we did. From all of us, along with furry friends, Max, Ollie, Bher, Luke & Sweet Max and, please remember to love one another, A Whole Heap!

Visitation with the family will be August 31st, from 1-3 pm at McEwen Funeral Service at 5716 Monroe Road Charlotte, NC 28212, immediately followed by a family burial at Sharon Memorial Park.
