Ms. McClung was born on August 5, 1950 to the late Joe and Sarah McClung.
Ms. McClung retired from Essroc Cement in 2011 after 12 years of service. She served as a Sunday School teacher and was active in Women's Missions at Thomasboro Baptist Church in Charlotte. She has been a faithful member of Gainsville Baptist Church in Lincolnton since 2008.
She is survived by two sisters, Melba Scott and Kathy Broome (Tom).
A graveside service to honor Ms. McClung will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 10am at Forest Lawn West Cemetery, 4601 Freedom Drive in Charlotte. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Gainsville Baptist Church-Building Fund, 270 Gainsville Church Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
