Brenda Thomas Gunter

Brenda Thomas Gunter died Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Hunter Woods Nursing and Rehab. A daughter of the late William Alton Thomas and Willie Ruth Baucom Thomas, she was born in Charlotte. Mrs. Gunter attended Millhaven Baptist Church and loved her children, grandchildren, her pets and chocolate. She also enjoyed watching All My Children, going to the beach and working at Jerry’s Market.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 7:00PM, Monday, June 2nd at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park with Rev. Charles Kinley officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.

Mrs. Gunter is survived by her husband, Jerrold Gunter; five children, Sandi McCormick (Bob), of Colorado, Kim Scarboro, Brandy Bolin, Debbie Snyder (Tom), Lamar Scarboro (Susan), all of Charlotte; a sister, Pam Robinson, of Charlotte; three grandchildren, Hanna, Catherine and Pellyn, all of Charlotte; a two nephews, Matthew Robinson (Shawnna), of Mt. Holly, Christopher Lunsford, of Charlotte and her two rottweilers, Ike and Isabella.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gunter was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth Thomas and Billy Thomas.
