Brian Keith Ellis

He was born on April 16, 1958 in Charlotte, N. C. the son of Doris Brown Ellis and the late Joseph Reid Ellis. Brian was a 1976 graduate of North Mecklenburg High School and was employed with NAPA Auto Parts for 28 years. He attended Hickory Grove Baptist North Campus.

Brian is survived by his wife of 33 years, Melinda Ratteerree Ellis, daughters, Maria Ellis and Casey Ellis, two brothers, Darrell Ellis and wife, Susan and Dean Ellis and wife, Deb, all of Charlotte and numerous nieces and nephews, special “adopted” daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Steve Hovis and very special “adopted” grandsons, Casey and Collin Hovis.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00PM Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at Alexander Memorial Baptist Church in Belmont, N. C., Reverend Jerry Pennington officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Belmont, N. C.. Visitation will be from 6:30-8:30PM Tuesday Evening, August 16, 2011 at Forest Lawn West Funeral Home, 4601 Freedom Dr., Charlotte, N. C.
