

Mrs. Jackson was born May 18, 1946, in Tuscaloosa, AL, to the late Ingram and Elizabeth Ingram Culwell. She was a graduate of Tuscaloosa High School and attended the University of Alabama. She was a longtime member of Plaza Baptist Church and remained a faithful prayer partner after she could not attend due to declining health. Carol loved the Lord with all her heart and showed her love to all that knew her and was a witness to everyone she encountered and a faithful servant to the end.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ottis R. (Jack) Jackson; her brothers Robert and James Culwell; her faithful dog, Beau; and two step-grandchildren.
She is survived by her brother, Ingram (Sonny) Culwell of Gadsden, AL; sisters Myra Koster and Joan Powell of Tuscaloosa, AL; son Warren Phillips of Midland, NC; daughter, Leigh Williams of Concord; grandchildren Rachael and Alex Williams, of Concord, NC; many loved nephews and nieces and great nephews and nieces; step-son Randy Dalton (Debbie) of Cornelius, NC; step-daughters Elaine Barton of Salisbury and Lori Patrick (Mike) of Union, SC; 7 step-grandchildren, and 5 step-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 2, 2024 in Gethsemane Cemetery and Memorial Gardens, 1504 W. Sugar Creek Rd., Charlotte, NC 28262.
