November 30, 1954 – February 6, 2019
Carole Treadaway, 64, passed away on February 6, 2019. She was born in Brevard, NC. on November 30, 1954 to the late Jack and Barbara Deaver Bryant. Carole was a successful commercial property manager for over 20 years; she traveled and lived throughout the United States such as Charleston, San Diego, Denver, and Baltimore. She was a fantastic cook and loved trying new recipes often and opening her home for the holidays. She loved watching the Food Network and putting her own twists on family passed down recipes.
Carole was incredibly talented with crafting. She often kept herself busy with projects such as intricate sun catchers and beautifully designed present wrapping. She would collect items throughout the year with certain designs in mind and spend hours putting together the projects for friends and family. She had a green thumb and could often be found in her yard designing new flowerbeds.
Carole loved animals – especially her dog Molly (a King Charles breed) and her recently passed cats, Bella and Barney. Over the years she gave a loving home to animals – including horses and even goats that often would escape to the roof of the house somehow. She loved vacationing at the beach with family and friends. She was most relaxed with the sand in her toes and the sun on her face. Some of her favorite vacation memories were from time she spent in Hawaii.
Carole had an incredibly very giving and selfless heart. She loved her family very much. She had a bubbly personality, pinch of sass and an infectious smile and laugh! She may have been petite but her love for others was absolutely gigantic! Funny side note: when you asked how tall she was she would proudly hold up her hand and show all five fingers to symbolize she was exactly 5 feet tall!
Carole is survived by sons, Forrest Bunzey and Robby Bunzey (Kelsey). Carole was known as Mimi to grandsons, Colton, Jaxon and Lincoln. She is also survived by nieces, Sunny Hutchinson (fiancé Neil Hunter), Emily Morgan, (Patrick) and children, Bradley and Evelyn. Step-Mother, Jan Bryant and cousins, Lynn and Chuck Pickelsimer.
Carole was a pancreatic cancer survivor. For those interested in making donations in her honor please consider donating directly to the Atrium Health Foundation in support of their Pancreatic Cancer Care at Levine Cancer Institute.
