Mrs. Carolyn Moser Fisher

Carolyn Moser Fisher, 81, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Tuesday evening, March 29. Carolyn was a cherished & loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister & friend. She was born on April 6, 1934 in Matthews & attended Matthews High School. On September 24, 1950 she married Herbert Holland Fisher. After raising three children, she attended Samford University Nursing School in Birmingham, where she graduated in 1976 at the age of 42. As an RN, Carolyn worked at hospitals & medical facilities in Birmingham, Norman, OK and Charlotte. She retired to raise ostriches in the early 90’s. She was an avid salt water fisherman. Carolyn was predeceased by her parents Edward Sutton & Ruby Bartlett Moser; & grandson, Matthew Edward Fisher. Those of us who remain will miss her deeply & tenderly. We are husband, Herbert Fisher; children, Ed, Jim & Cindy Fisher; grandchildren, Ben, Ian & Zoe Fisher & Alex Carter; a number of great-grandchildren; &, sisters Gerry Lowder & Judy Latham. Please join us for visitation from 1-3pm on Sunday, April 3 at McEwen Funeral Home located at Sharon Memorial Park (5716 Monroe Rd, Charlotte 28212) & for a graveside service shortly thereafter. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
