Catherine Malone Jeltsch, 72, of Charlotte, passed away on May 27, 2011 after a lengthy illness. She was born on December 26, 1938 in New York City. Cathie graduated from Dominican Commercial High School. She was a talented piano player, athlete and avid football fan but most importantly, she was a loving mother and grandmother.
Cathie is survived by her only daughter, Mary Turpin; son-in-law, Don, and three precious grandchildren; John, Rebecca and Anna Turpin, all of Waxhaw. She is also survived by a brother, Joseph Malone and sister, Joyce Banks.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 31 at 2:00 pm at McEwen Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Rd., Charlotte. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
