My memories of Joe and Kay go back a long way. Joe was/still is my brother-in-law. I was present at their wedding. They have been in my/our home many, many times.

What a courtship those two had. Kay might have dated some others while she was attending college, but Joe, as far as Iknow, never dated anyone else. Their bond was special -still is!

I remember a meaingful visit with them while they lived in Virginia. They took me on a river cruise one night. They were always thoughtful and kind. I am deeply sorry for Joe's loss, and my thoughts and prayers are with him and their sons. --Wilbur I. Jackson

Dear Joe and Family:
I am sorry to say that I have just learned of Kay’s passing , thanks to a message post on Facebook from Ava Richardson. I have been away from home for the last 2 weeks and out of internet access from Oct 22 to Oct. 25. Please know that I would have been there for you , if I had known sooner.
I tried to reach you back in July when Linda died in a tragic auto accident. But my contact information for you is out of date? It is ironic that we have both lost our wives so recently! Please let me know if I can do anything to help you. My home phone is 910-521-4505. If you call and I do not answer, please leave a message and I will call you back. We have a lot of good memories of our times together. I hope you can focus on all the good memories you and Kay have had , with all your many friends, to help you get through the days ahead!
You can also take comfort in knowing that this separation is only temporary. We will see her again some day and I look forward to that Great Reunion Day! I pray that God will bring peace and comfort to you and your family during the difficult days ahead.
Your friend always, Terry Rolan

Kay was so kind and showed so much hospitality to our family when we first came to Charlotte and didn’t know a soul. She arranged a brunch to introduce us to her circle of friends. And I will always remember what a gracious hostess she was, opening her house for a Christmas party for the families of the people at CH2MHill. I am so sorry for the Stowe’s loss of a dear spouse, mother and grandmother.

My twin brother Perky and I were born on July 11, 1944. Many years we shared the celebration with one of my best friends Kay...and my brothers best friend Joey. Kay's birthday was July 1st and Joey's birthday was July 6th. Our three mother's got together and we either all went to Boyd's Lake or Ledbetter's Lake where we swam and had a picnic. Little did we know when we were all growing up at that age together that Kay and Joey would marry and raise a wonderful family....but they both were the best and why not!!!
Also Kay and I embroidered a table scarf together one winter when we were about ten years old. I sewed one end and she sewed the other until we met in the middle. I really enjoyed doing that with her. I have many fond memories of growing up on our farm and playing with Kay and Joey there!

I know Kay is dancing with the angels and I look forward to spending eternity with her. May the Holy Spirit comfort each of you. God bless and keep you, especially Joey!!!
