A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, November 8, 2013, in the Paul Helton Chapel of Forest Lawn West Funeral Home with the Reverend Sanders officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn West Cemetery.
Cathy was born May 6, 1958, in Mecklenburg County, NC to Harold and Jane Werth. She worked in Charlotte at Pipe and Foundry in the cafeteria and loved to fish.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Helms is survived by her husband, Eddie Alvin Helms of Newport, TN; step-children, Nichole Helms and Eddie Dwayne Helms; siblings, Larry Werth of Statesville, Barbara Stone and husband David of McConnells, SC, Johnnie Werth of Statesville; four nephews and two nieces.
