Cathy was a very special cousin. We spent time together growing up, but she always wanted to play the piano instead of doing activities with me. We both grew up to be teachers, but Cathy’s talent far exceeded mine.
Love and prayers to the family. She loved you dearly. But we know Cathy is at peace with her Heavenly Father.

Cathy has an unbelievable kindness about her. She was so caring and supportive of her students and made a great impact not only on them but also educators like me. Her thoughtfulness knew no bounds, Cathy bought a teddy bear for my son when he was born- he still sleeps with it every night (he’s 8 now). Condolences to the family and loved ones. She will be greatly missed.

You were the smart one....the talented one. Your talents touched the lives of a countless number of people. Whether it was in the education of the middle school student for 35 years or in the ministry of your music for greater than 50 years. How many hearts were many were hearts were comforted. As your younger sister there was never a time that I minded walking in the shadow of your brilliance. You have always been admired by so many and will be sorely missed by your family, your church families, friends, and colleagues,
So, I will miss you each and every day until we see each other again in Sweet Beulah Land.

I bet God is already having you play the piano for his heavenly choir.

Your sister, Debbie Wright Emser

Mrs. Richmond and I were colleagues at Coulwood Middle School. She was an exceptional Teacher. Her students loved her and excelled on their state tests as evidence of her work with them in class. Mrs. Richmond always had a beautiful smile for everyone, and was always available to talk or hear a kind word from on a rough day. Her positive influence on the students and adults at Coulwood Middle will live on.
Our prayers and condolences are sent to her family and friends, and we wish her Godspeed as she arrives in her Heavenly Home to take her rest.
