August 11, 1985 – October 28, 2026
Charity Renee Artieri, 41, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born August 11, 1985, in Charlotte, North Carolina, Charity grew up in Stanfield, North Carolina, where she made lifelong friendships and memories. She graduated from West Stanly High School and attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Charity went on to build a career in the health insurance industry, working as a licensed insurance agent with Health Plans of North Carolina.
Of all the wonderful things Charity experienced in her life, nothing brought her more pride, happiness, or purpose than becoming a mother to her beloved son, Thomas. He was her greatest joy, her proudest accomplishment, and the center of her world. She poured her heart into being his mom, never missing an opportunity to support him in whatever he pursued. Countless afternoons and evenings spent at the baseball field, cheering from the sidelines, were among her most treasured moments. There was nowhere she would rather be than watching Thomas do what he loved.
By her side through life's adventures was her husband, Dave, with whom she shared a love filled with laughter, memories, and a little good-natured teasing. Whether they were cheering on the Buffalo Bills together or traveling with Thomas to watch the Savannah Bananas play baseball, Charity treasured the moments they shared as a family. She was also known to playfully give Dave a hard time whenever he spent money, unless, of course, he was spending it on her! It was all part of the humor and love that made their relationship uniquely theirs. Through all of life's ups and downs, Charity loved Dave deeply and was truly grateful for the life he worked so hard to help provide for her and their family. Together, they built a life full of experiences, laughter, and memories that will forever be cherished.
Charity had a beautiful way of embracing life. She loved adventure, traveling, and making memories, whether it was a carefully planned vacation or a spontaneous trip with the people she loved. She believed that life was meant to be lived, celebrated, and enjoyed. From sunny days at the beach and nights filled with live music to baseball games and gatherings with family and friends, Charity found happiness in the experiences that brought everyone together. She never needed a special occasion to celebrate. Being surrounded by the people she loved was reason enough.
Some of her favorite memories were made during Sunday Funday gatherings at Geoff and Meridith's, where laughter, friendship, and good times were always guaranteed. Those Sundays were more than just get-togethers; they were traditions filled with love, laughter, and the kind of memories that last a lifetime. Charity wouldn't have missed them for the world. And then there was Athens, Georgia, a place that held an especially meaningful piece of Charity's heart. Saturdays spent on the road heading to Athens, cheering on her beloved Georgia Bulldogs, were among her happiest times. Whether she was tailgating, celebrating a victory, or simply enjoying the company of Thomas, Dave, Jamie, Ellie, Uncle Luke, Paige, and her cherished Georgia football family, Charity was exactly where she wanted to be. The friendships, traditions, laughter, and unforgettable Saturdays in Athens will forever be part of her story. Between the hedges and beyond, her presence will be deeply missed. Athens will never quite be the same without her.
Charity was so much more than the places she went or the things she loved. She was someone who showed up for her family, her friends, and the moments that mattered. She understood that life's greatest treasures weren't things, but the people we share it with and the memories we make along the way. Her love for her family, her adventurous spirit, and her ability to turn ordinary moments into unforgettable memories will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew her.
Charity is survived by her loving husband, David Artieri, and their beloved son, Thomas; her parents, Julie and Larry Wilson; her sister, Mary, and her husband, Travis; her cousin and best friend, Meridith, and her husband, Geoff; and her favorite Uncle Luke and Aunt Paige. She is also survived by her brother Wayne Wilson, and his wife, Ayako; Dominick Artieri, and David James Artieri; Mike Warren; her cherished nephews and nieces, Alex, Emmy, Jade, and Ava; Teddy, Oliver, Franklin, Apollo and Kase; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members.
Charity was also blessed with an incredible circle of loyal friends and neighbors who stood beside her through life's happiest moments and most difficult days. Among them, Elizabeth Kellough, Christine Linse, and Suzanne Hucks held a particularly special place in her heart. Their friendship, love, and unwavering support were gifts she treasured.
While her time here was far too short, Charity filled her years with a lifetime of love, laughter, adventure, and unforgettable memories. She leaves behind a legacy of fierce love for her son, devotion to her family, and friendships that will endure long after her passing.
