

Charles Hoover Hunsucker (Burr) 87, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2017 at the Levine-Dixon Hospice House in Charlotte, NC. Charles was born October 27, 1929 to the late Charles and Sue Hunsucker.
He served in the Korean War from 1952-1954. He was very proud to be a Veteran as well as his family and friends.
Charles married the woman he saw get off the bus 63 years ago and their love only grew stronger as they grew older. Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was a hardworking man and instilled that on his children. He took pride in his family.
He and his wife were active members of Purcell United Methodist Church until he became ill. Charles will be greatly missed but never forgotten, as he has left many wonderful memories for his family and friends to cherish forever.
He is preceded in death by his only daughter Tami (Hunsucker) Bostick; his parents, three brothers and one sister.
He is survived by his wife, Louise Hunsucker; sons, Chuck Hunsucker & Mike Hunsucker; one sister, Faye Hunsucker , four granddaughters, three great grandsons; and one great-great granddaughter.
The family wishes to express sincerest gratitude and appreciate the staff at Mecklenburg Health & Rehabilitation Center who took care of him for the last 4 years and Levine-Dixon Hospice House in Charlotte, NC who made him comfortable on his final resting days.
The visitation service will begin at 1pm in the Paul Helton Chapel of Forest Lawn West Funeral Home on Monday, January 30. The funeral will begin at 2 pm. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn West Cemetery.
