Charlotte-Charles Ernest Killian, Sr., 72, died Monday, August 8, 2011 at Presbyterian Hospital. The son of the late Allen Killian and Geneva Flowers Killian, he was born on March 8, 1939 in Charlotte. Mr. Killian retired from PPG after 15 years of service.
Mr. Killian is survived by his wife Mary Bender Killian; a son Charles E. Killian, Jr.; granddaughters Windy Hamilton, of Mint Hill, Lacida Villanueva, of Atlanta, GA; great-granddaughters, Daisy Fuller, Kayla Hamilton, both of Mint Hill and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his favorite Shih Tzu, Angel.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, August 12th, at the Dertia Chapel of McEwen Funeral Service. Burial with military honors will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6:00PM to 8:00PM.
