Mr. Charles was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Mr. Charles was a military intelligence officer for South Vietnam. Despite his imprisonment in prison camp for over 13 years after the fall of Saigon in 1975, he remained positive and upbeat that he would be able to move past this and continue to live a long fulfilling life. His outgoing spirits and energy lit up rooms and there was never a person he would not attempt to approach to start a conversation. His life will forever be cherished. Mr. Charles, his wife, and most of their children immigrated to the United States in 1991, where they have continued to expand the family ever since.
Mr. Charles was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years (Mrs. Dieu-Dien), his son (Tran Tuan Loc), his mother, (Mrs. Huong), his father (Mr. Dai), three brothers, and four sisters. Mr. Charles is survived by his sons, Kevin Tran (Laura), Albert Tran (Kristy), and Tran Tuan Hai (Hoi); his daughters, Tran Thi Thu Huong (Cuong), Tran Thi Thanh Huong (Cuong), Lanie Titi-Tran Nguyen (Vincent), Tran Thi Lien Huong (Dac), and Jenny Tran (Vinh); another daughter-in-law, Nam; his grandchildren, Tiffany Truong, Jason Tran, Dustin Tran, Misa Vo (Truong), Rona Vo (Quynh), Khoa Tran (Thuy), Kha Tran, Bryce Tran, Britney Tran, Daniel Tran, Henry Tran, Tracy Le, and Angeli Nguyen; his great-grandchildren, Amelia Phong, Fiona Phong, Alina Vo, Sofia Vo, Rior Vo, and Skyler Tran.
