Charles William "Cw" Thomas

His funeral service will be held at 3:30 pm on Wednesday August 17th in the Forest Lawn West Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3:30pm immediately before the service, at the same location. Pastor Jack Homesley will be officiating.

Mr. Thomas was born January 21, 1933 in Washington County, VA. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Shelby Jean Davis Thomas, his mother Juanita Hall, and his brother Jack Thomas.

He is survived by five sons, Kenneth Clark Thomas, Ronald Lynn "Winky" Thomas, and Randy Allen Thomas of the home. Gary Marvin Thomas and wife Susie of Stanley and Ray Anthony Thomas and wife Jenny of Lincolnton. A daughter, M. Chris Craig and husband Roger of Iron Station. Six grandchildren: Angie Hope, Kenna Holt, Ciara Akins, Timothy Thomas, Jessica Harkey, and Rebecca Moser. Eleven great-grandchildren: Miranda, Davalyn, Ethen, Kayliegh, Thomas, Karson, Kamden, Chloe, Gavin, Danielle, and Charles (CAM). Four sisters, Brenda, Barbara, Bonnie, and Judy; and four brothers, Johnny, Leo, Bobby, and Lonnie.

Forest Lawn West of 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte NC is serving the Thomas family.

Memorials may be sent to Novant Health Hospice or Calvary Baptist Church of Charlotte.
