Charlie Clyde Houser

Charlie Clyde Houser, age 81 of Charlotte died February 18, 2010 at his residence. A service to celebrate his life will be at 4:00 PM Sunday in the chapel of Forest Lawn West Funeral Home. Interment will be in Forest Lawn West Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the Funeral Home. Houser was born in Lincolnton, NC January 8, 1929 son of the late William Caswell and Myrtle Roark Houser. He was formerly with Duke Power Company, Leaksville Woolen Mill and was co-owner of Houser Garden and Grocery and retired from Blythe Paving Company.Surviving are his wife, Vernie Champion Houser, son, Randy C. Houser and wife, Alice of Stanley, NC and a daughter, Lissa Houser Antuzzi and husband, Alfred of Delran, NJ, grandchildren, Elaine Houser Tankersly and husband, Greg, Jessica Houser Stewart and husband, Wes, Todd R. Houser, Alfred A. Antuzzi, III, and Austin A. Antuzzi, great-grandchild, Carter Daniel Tankersley who was the light of his life, sister, Hazeline Houser Link and husband, Larry of Lincolnton, NC, brothers, Fred A Houser and wife, Faye of Stanley, NC, Kenneth M. Houser and wife, Martenny of Lincolnton, NC and Jerry R. Houser and wife, Janice of Lincolnton, NC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Opal Inez Houser, Ethel Houser Perkins, Dorothy Houser Rudisill, Ilease Houser Campbell and an infant brother and William Anderson Houser.
