

Cheryl was born on August 13, 1958, in Ohio to parents Lawrence and Carol Gorley. She graduated Brunswick High School in 1976 and attended Riverside Community College. She remained in Ohio throughout her childhood and early adulthood. While in Ohio, she was a member of Brunswick United Methodist Church.
She married the love of her life, Mark, and together they had their daughter, Kristen. Cheryl loved being a mother and wife to her family. As Kristen grew up, she was a stay-at-home mom and always was kind, attentive, and supportive of her daughter. She always welcomed any opportunity to spend time and create lasting memories her family. She was overjoyed when she became a grandmother to her granddaughter, Natalie.
Cheryl was caring, kind, and patient to all who knew her. She was strong willed and never afraid to stand up for what she believed in. In her spare time, she enjoyed writing and spending time with her loved ones and pets. Cheryl made an unforgettable impact on those she loved most and she will be greatly missed.
Cheryl was predeceased by her father, Lawrence Gorley and her brother, Charles Gorley.
She is survived by her husband, Mark Wenzel; daughter, Kristen (Scott) Williams; granddaughter, Natalie Williams; mother, Carol Gorley; and brother, Jim (Teressa) Gorley.
A private service to celebrate Cheryl's life will be held at McEwen Derita Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make donations in Cheryl's honor to the American Cancer Society.
