Christopher Edwin Webber

Christopher Edwin Webber, 63, was born in Charlotte, North Carolina on October 8th, 1948 and passed away Saturday, November 26th, 2011. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law and loyal friend to many. He is survived by wife, Nancy Webber of 40 years; son, Peter Webber (Erin); daughter, Sarah Sumrall (Reese); apples of his eyes, his two grandchildren, Allison and Sidney Webber; sisters Laura Herlocker (David) and Sarah Fishburne (Paxton); mother-in-law Byrd LeGrone; brothers-in law Durall LeGrone (Mary); Brad LeGrone (Beth); Archie LeGrone; sister-in-law Lynne LeGrone and his faithful canine friend Maggie. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his parents, Christopher Edwin Webber Sr. and Elizabeth D. Webber; sister Jane Webber Roach; brother-in-law Dana LeGrone; and father-in-law Pete LeGrone.

Chris was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing with friends and family. He was a gentle humble soul and his greatest joy was his family. A memorial service will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, November 29th, 2011 at St. Giles Presbyterian Church, 2027 Emerywood Drive, Charlotte, NC 28210. The family will receive friends prior to the service.

There will be a private memorial for family and close friends at his favorite hunting grounds on Wednesday, November 30th, 2011. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 42177 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060-9979.
