She is survived by her beloved children: her son Joseph Pietras, and her daughters Hannah Pietras and Karla Pinzon as well as 1 brother, 1 sister and 3 grandchildren.
Claire was a woman of great spirit and compassion, always seeking to help others when she could. Though her path through life was not without hardship—marked by missteps and difficult decisions—Claire never stopped loving or being loved in return.
She was a testament to the complexity of the human experience: imperfect, yet generous; flawed, yet deeply loved and fiercely human. Those who knew her remember her for her warm heart and the way she made people feel seen and accepted.
Claire’s journey reminds us that grace can exist alongside struggle, and that love does not require perfection. She will be remembered with tenderness and missed deeply by her children, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
A service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery at 10:00am on Saturday, May 10th. In lieu of flowers, acts of kindness in Claire’s memory are encouraged.
