Clairee Spargo Mullen, age 90 of Charlotte passed away May 21, 2012. A service to celebrate her life will be at 2:00PM Thursday in the chapel of Forest Lawn West Funeral Home, Reverend David Luther officiating. Visitation will be from 1-2PM prior to the service. Interment will be in Forest Lawn West Cemetery.
Mrs. Mullen was born in Gaston County January 7, 1922 daughter of the late John and Fannie Hancock Spargo. A devoted wife, mother and homemaker, she was a member of Mulberry Baptist Church, the Red Hat Club and loved playing canasta.

Sons: James E. “Happy” Mullen (Melanie), Ronald Dean Mullen, and Brent Mullen (Donna) all of Charlotte
Grandchildren, Stuart, Jessica, Nicholaus, Tammy, Laura, George, Dotti, Sandra, Nancy, and Kevin
Sister: Carolyn Weaver of Raleigh, NC
Brother: John Spargo (Catherine) of Coolemee, NC
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, George F. Mullen, Sr., son, George F. Mullen, Jr. and a daughter, Susan Claire Mullen.
