Clarence Kennedy, 84, of Charlotte passed away on July 5, 2011. He was born in Chambersburg, PA on October 12, 1926. Clarence loved to travel and was a member of Airstreamer’s and Good Sam Club. He also enjoyed hunting and square dancing but most of all, he was an active member of St. Andrew’s Methodist Church where he taught Sunday School and served on both the missions and financial committees. Clarence is predeceased by his loving wife of 55 years, Janet Louise Kennedy.
Clarence is survived by his two daughters; Barbara (Bobbi) Neason and her husband George of Bandon, OR and Susan Eddins and her husband Joe of Charlotte and granddaughter, Jenna Neason.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church, 1900 Emerywood Dr., Charlotte, NC 28210.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 8, 2011 at St. Andrews UMC.
